Opinion, Speculation and Analysis of an Illicit Information Writer| Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas delivered a speech while at a refugee camp close to Ramallah, threatening that “millions of fighters’ are to swarm Jerusalem. Apparently they are focused on taking over the Jewish state’s capital city.
Abbas warned that “no matter how many houses and how many settlements they declare that they [plan to build] here and there – they shall all be destroyed.”
According to Bongino.com, “Abbas rallied the audience with a plethora of aggressive threats towards the state of Israel.”
“To Jerusalem we march, martyrs by the millions! … We shall enter Jerusalem-millions of fighters! We shall enter it! All of us the entire Palestinian people, the entire Arab nation, the Islamic nation, and the Christian nation,” he chanted, as reported by the Washington Free Beacon.
A media watchdog site, the Middle East Media Research Institute, MEMRI, translated Abbas’ speech. The homes and cities “built by Jews” and others living in Israel “will all go to the garbage bin of history” he said. The leader continued “we shall remain [here] and nobody can remove us from our homeland…if they want, they themselves can leave. Those who are foreign to this land have no right to it. So we say to them: Every stone you have [used] to build on our land, and every house you have built on our land, is bound to be destroyed, Allah willing.”
A horrifying policy Abbas has used to murder Jews is called “pay to slay” where payments are made to convicted terrorists and families of suicide bombers. Discussing the payments and money that is central to their cause, Abbas said “we will not accept their designation of our martyrs as terrorists…our martyrs are the martyrs of the homeland. We will not allow them to deduct a single penny from their money.”
The Jerusalem Post explains that “Abbas’ populist speech covered several topics, as he lambasted recent international conferences in Poland and Bahrain, where the US unveiled the financial part of the ‘Deal of the Century’, before rejecting the labeling of Palestinian ‘martyrs’ as terrorists.”
The PA dishes out millions to terrorists and families of Palestinians who were killed, injured or imprisoned “for involvement in attacking, assisting in attacking, or planning to attack Israelis.” according to Jpost.com
Interestingly, Israel was the target of multiple rocket launches from the Gaza Strip yesterday, only days after Abbas’ threats… coincidence?
Editor’s Note: Abbas did not officially declare war but the promise to send “millions of martyrs” (A martyr being someone who dies fighting for their religious beliefs) sure sounds like one to me. Thus the “All but declares war” in the title is our interpretation of Abbas’ intent to instigate more violnece as we saw yesterday and for that violence to escalate into a larger conflict, ie, a war.
