Opinion| Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California, who has made her negative feelings about President Donald Trump very clear, sounded as though she was catching a cold as she slammed the President over his recently proposed tariffs on all imports from Mexico while speaking at a Wednesday presser.

Pelosi was asked by a reporter if she thinks the President’s threat of imposing tariffs on Mexican imports is working successfully.

The House Speaker slammed her fists on the podium in front of her as “she lashed out at President Trump on Wednesday and asserted his proposed tariffs are “dangerous territory” and said this is not the way to deal with immigration,” according to the Gateway Pundit.

“This is dangerous territory. This is not a way to treat a friend. It’s not a way to deal with immigration,” the Democrat said.

The Gateway Pundit reports:

Pelosi did not sound well at all during her presser and she even twisted herself into a pretzel when she claimed Russia’s (nonexistent) ‘attack on the election’ was worse than Mexico pushing thousands of illegals and massive amount of drugs across the border into the US.

Take a look:

Politico reported:

“I don’t want to see him impeached, I want to see him in prison,” Pelosi said, according to multiple Democratic sources familiar with the meeting. Instead of impeachment, Pelosi still prefers to see Trump defeated at the ballot box and then prosecuted for his alleged crimes, according to the sources.

They said she was expressing solidarity with pro-impeachment Democrats who want to hold the president accountable while disputing the idea that it is now time to take that step. Pelosi has long argued that certain conditions must be met before Democrats begin impeachment — public support and strong bipartisan backing, neither of which have so far materialized.
