Another Democrat Charged In Voter Fraud Bust … Is a Pattern Emerging?

Elder Patriot’s Opinion| Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced that Elmwood Park Mayor Francesco Caramagna has been charged with interfering with the secrecy of the election process.

Caramagna became the first Democrat elected to mayor in Elmwood Park in 50 years.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office began its investigation after it received a complaint earlier this month. The complaint alleged that Caramagna interfered with vote by mail ballots in the 2017 mayoral election.

The investigation revealed that over a nine month period, from March 2017 and November 2018, Caramagna, filled in portions of the vote by mail ballots and primary and general election ballot certifications of registered Elmwood Park voters, Calo said.

Caramagna was arrested and charged with a third-degree crime yesterday following the investigation.

Last Thursday news broke that Mayor Richard Molina of Edinburg, Texas, and his wife, Dalia, were charged with engaging in organized election fraud.

In 2017, the Texas Legislative session passed House Bill 1735 that went into effect Sept. 1, 2017:

A person commits an offense if, with the intent to establish, maintain, or participate in a vote harvesting organization, the person commits or conspires to commit one or more offenses.

Molina was charged with the first-degree felony, that carries a sentence of 5 to 99 years, or life, in prison upon convicted.
