Kirsters Baish’s Opinion| On Tuesday, some shocking lineup changes were made by both the United States soccer team and England’s soccer team for the upcoming Women’s World Cup semifinal match.

According to Fox News, “The U.S. plans to start Christen Press in place of Megan Rapinoe. FOX Sports reported Rapinoe was out with a hamstring injury. It was initially believed that U.S. coach Jill Ellis decided to leave Rapinoe on the bench purely out of strategy. Rapinoe is tied with teammate Alex Morgan for most goals in the tournament this year.”

Rapinoe spoke to FOX Sports following the match during which she experienced a minor tweak, saying that she thinks she will be ready to return for the championships.

Fox explains that on England’s team, “Karen Bardsley was replaced in goal for Carly Telford after picking up a hamstring injury. England is also putting Toni Duggan and Fran Kirby on the bench to start the match. The match between the U.S. and England kicked off at 3 p.m. ET and can be seen on local FOX stations.”

Trump-bashing soccer star Megan Rapinoe was BENCHED in a stunning World Cup decision on Tuesday just days after her profanity-laced tirade against the President.

The US is taking on England at the Stade de Lyon.

The head coach insisted the move to bench Rapinoe was not for any disciplinary reasons, however she did not elaborate.

The Daily Mail reported, “The US team have dropped their captain Megan Rapinoe in a shock move ahead of tonight’s World Cup semi-final clash against England – as Prince William and Holly Willoughby led celebrities sending good luck messages to the Lionesses on social media. US head coach Jill Ellis has insisted that the move was not made for any disciplinary reasons, although she did not rule out the possibility of an injury.”

The US Women’s National soccer team’s midfielder was seen on Tuesday at the stadium, however she did not warm up with her teammates.
