One would think that this would be a no brainer, the fact that it is even being contested makes me question the aims of the Democrat party, as well as who they represent.  Why on Earth should non citizens be counted in the US census?  The census determines how, not just the representation in Congress, but it ultimately controls how trillions of American citizens’ tax dollars are spent.

Why bother even having a country if non citizens are going to be counted among Americans?  This is just another move by the left to try and drag America down to the level of other 3rd world nations, in order to conquer it.  This also highlights why the Amy Coney Barrett nomination is so important …

[Opinion]. The US Supreme Court on Friday agreed to listen to oral arguments over President Donald Trump’s effort to exclude illegal immigrants from the population totals used to allocate congressional districts to states.

The court, likely to soon have a 5-4 conservative majority if the Republican-controlled Senate confirms Trump nominee Amy Coney Barrett, will hear the case on November 30.  Remember, Chief Justice Roberts has nested in with the liberals on the Court.

The challengers to Trump’s directive made back in July, including states led by New York, cities, counties and immigrant rights groups, said it could leave several million people uncounted and likely cause California, Texas and New Jersey to lose seats in the US House of Representatives.  Well, boo hoo, they are not supposed to be here.  Why are immigrant rights groups involved in this at all?  We know that the overwhelming majority of their concerns are for illegal aliens, which are always conflated with legal immigrants.  Legal immigrants are wonderful.  Illegal aliens are criminals and should be deported.

Trump “seeks to reallocate political power among the states and to weaken the political influence of states with larger populations of undocumented immigrants,” the challengers stated in their court filing.

How come no one ever points out the elephant in the room, no pun intended?  Democrat-run states want illegal aliens counted, because the amount of people listed as living in their states, get more money for the numbers.  Grants from the federal government are based on the population number, and those grants are supposed to be used for American citizens.  What the Democrats want is to increase their numbers, so that the amount of funding in grants increases, but they are doing it at the expense of illegal aliens/  It’s not only morally wrong, but it could be considered fraud.

They alleged the policy could additionally deter people from participating in the census and argue that it violates both the Constitution and the Census Act, a federal law that outlines how the census is conducted.  Liberals love to use the Constitution when it serves their purposes.  Otherwise, they hate it.

Don’t forget that a three-judge panel ruled against the administration back in September.

The US Constitution ensures that the apportionment of seats in the House of Representatives be based on the “whole number of persons in each state.” The population number is derived from the census, which takes place every 10 years.  Liberals argue that the Constitution does not specifically say “citizens,” knowing full well that our Founding Fathers were not working to include illegal aliens, who break our immigration laws by the very nature of being here.  Why would anyone believe the Founders wrote a governmental system of law designed from the very beginning to allow people to break the same laws?  It makes zero sense.

By law, the president sends a report to Congress in January with the population of every state and their entitled number of representatives.  A ruling on the administration’s case could come out prior to when the report is due.

Once states are allocated the districts, the states themselves draw the districts, which shall be used first in the 2022 congressional election.

The census itself doesn’t collect data on citizenship or immigration status, though I believe it should. We should know the number of illegal aliens here, so that the grant blocks can be distributed accordingly.  The American taxpayers should not have to foot the bill for people who are breaking the law by being here.  It’s insanity.

The Supreme Court on October 14 allowed the Trump administration to wind down population counting for the census early in a blow to civil rights advocates who stated it may lead to an undercount of racial minorities.  They always play the race card, even here.  Does the race of an illegal alien matter for this issue?

Efforts to get an accurate census count have been curbed by the Chinese virus pandemic, which has limited the ability of workers to follow up in person with those who didn’t fill out the survey.

The billions of dollars allocated by the census data should not be inflated over what is needed  for American citizens.  Personally, I think it’s insane to have Americans send tax dollars in to the federal government only to have it then sent back to the States in the form of a grant.  It’s just a complete waste of money as the bureaucrats who handle that money are getting paid, which siphons from the kitty.

This appears to be an open and shut case IMHO, however, the fact that it got all the way to the highest court in the land suggests otherwise.  If the left wins this battle we can expect to see the preverbal floodgates opened and the balance of power shift in America forever more.

    • I totally agree with you. Illegal immigrants should not be counted in the U.S. census nor should they be entitled to anything our U.S. citizens and legal permanent residence visa holders entitled to. They should not be given free medical care (like Medicaid). If they go to the emergency care provider, they should be required to pay for the medical bill.

  • I get so tired of the ignorance of the constitution, even among those lawyers who are supposed to be arguing the cases before the court.
The constitution DOES NOT authorize a counting of all people in the country. Article 1 section2 paragraph 3 states that the purpose of the enumeration(CENSUS) is for APPORTIONMENT(determining the number of Representatives a state has in congress). The constitution states that to vote in federal elections one must be a citizen.(amendments, 14,15,19,24, & 26) Article 1 goes on to say that Indians, who were NOT citizens BTW, were NOT to be counted and all non-free persons were to be counted as 3/5ths of a person(they were citizens). Then in the 14th amendment section 2 it repeats that the non- citizen Indians were NOT to be counted, but removed the 3/5th provision for non-free. But then goes on to state in the same paragraph that if the right to vote(only for male citizens then) were denied to a group of “citizens” then the percentage of Representatives would be reduced by the same percentage of citizens that were denied the right to vote. making it perfectly clear that Apportionment deals only with the count of Citizens. Therefore the ONLY question actually authorized by the Constitution, to ask in the census is are you a citizen! It doesnt even authorize them to ask your name! The censuses that havent had that question have been ILLEGAL, and every APPORTIONMENT that has used the count of visitors(legal or illegal) to this country has been ILLEGAL!
