Last Wednesday, New York Governor Andrew Benito Cuomo announced several measures to stop the spread of coronavirus as COVID-19 cases start to spike in states around the country. But, are they really going up or is it just another ruse to get Americans used to being controlled by government?
Among several items on the Italian dictator’s list, the governor took to social media to tweet about one that is sparking a lot of anger; a prohibition on gatherings in private residences that exceed 10 people.
The announcement comes just 15 days before Thanksgiving and goes into effect on Friday, less than two weeks from the holiday.
New York follows the science.
We know indoor gatherings and parties are a major source of COVID spread.
To slow the spread, NYS will limit indoor gatherings at private residences to 10 people.
This limit takes effect Friday at 10pm.

If the Democrats get their way, you will have to think hard to remember that Thanksgiving is one of the most traveled holidays in America. People travel across the country and back to be with family during the tradition of the Thanksgiving Day holiday. S haring a Turkey dinner with all the fixings around the table, seated with all of your loved ones is it tradition that goes back to before our founding (1621).
And now we have tyrannical Democrat governors who are trying to end that tradition by using their favorite lockdown excuse, coronavirus.
Richard Giardono, the Fulton County Sheriff, has publicly stated that he will NOT be enforcing Cuomo’s 10-guest limit nonsense for Thanksgiving get-togethers. Sheriff Giardono pointed out in a Facebook postthat he doesn’t believe the order was Constitutional. And he’s right, of course.
“With regard to the Thanksgiving Executive Order, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office will NOT be enforcing it against our County residents. Frankly, I am not sure it could sustain a Constitutional challenge in Court for several reasons including your house is your castle. And as a Sheriff with a law degree I couldn’t in good faith attempt to defend it Court, so I won’t.”
The sheriff also added, “We have limited resources and we have to set priorities, so obtaining a Search Warrant to enter your home to see how many Turkey or Tofu eaters are present is not a priority. We won’t be doing that. The only way to enter your residence is if we have a warrant, we are invited in or an exigent or emergency circumstance exist. We have three patrols a shift for 500 square miles, monitoring Family Dinners aren’t our priority.”
“So don’t feel a need to hide cars, cover with leaves or walk 3 blocks so your house doesn’t become a target of the Governors EO.”
“I trust people in Fulton County to use their own judgement on who and how many people they invite. Obviously if you have high risk family members you will weigh the risks to your loved ones versus the reward. Thanksgiving is just that, a time to give thanks for what we have or have received over the year.”
Remember, inside his county, a sheriff is the top law enforcement officer, over the governor and even the president of the United States. One foot outside his/her county and they’re a regular citizen, but inside the county they run, they are the top dog for law enforcement.
Giardono isn’t the only US sheriff to decidedly not enforce certain COVID-19 restrictions on their people.
Franklin County, Washington Sheriff J.D. Raymond has said that he refuses to enforce the stay-at-home order issued by Governor Jay Inslee or any other guidelines “that infringe on your constitutional rights.”
Racine County, Wisconsin Sheriff Christopher Schmaling said in a statement, “I took an oath to uphold the Constitutional rights of our citizens and I cannot in good faith participate in the destruction of Racine County businesses or interfere in the freedoms granted to all of us by our Constitution.”
Four Michigan sheriffs said they also won’t strictly enforce the tyrant Governor Whitmer’s stay-at-home orders. The governor has since been shot down by the state Supreme Court for overstepping her authority with her unreasonable lockdown orders.
“While we understand her desire to protect the public, we question some restrictions that she has imposed as overstepping her executive authority,” Leelanau County Sheriff Mike Borkovich, Benzie County Sheriff Ted Schendel, Manistee County Sheriff Ken Falk and Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole relayed in a joint press release.
As for Andrew Cuomo and the other oppressive authoritarian governors and mayors like him, who do these people think they are? Have they forgotten that they work for and are accountable to the people who elected them to office, the very same people whose orders are destroying their lives? While locking down churches and synagogues they have allowed protests and riots to take over our cities and streets, burning down businesses and attacking police and other innocent citizens without a care in the world about coronavirus spreading. They are hypocrites of the first order. And now they want to take away Thanksgiving by telling the American people they cannot see their own families?
Who are these people? That’s the question America needs to start asking. Who are the people in the dictatorial class of elitist politicians who have lied to us repeatedly about a virus that has a 99 percent survival rate? The rebellion all starts with the sheriffs.
Go visit family and friends during the Thanksgiving holiday and terminus tyrannide (end the tyranny).
