Except for the “hanging chads’ fiasco during the infamous election in the year 2000, Presidential contests in the US have been called on the election night, and the night of the battle, or the following day, the losers would suck it up, swallow their pride and make their concession speech. Then they would go back to work and the winner would start working with their transition team.
According to many Democrats, things are probably not going to follow suit on November 3rd. Many political analysts and operatives are expecting (and others laying the ground work for) some nefarious activities through the election night and beyond. It appears to me that the Democrat/Neocon establishment is setting the stage to dispute a Trump re-election, regardless of his margin of victory, even though we are still 2 months out from the election.
There are several messages coming out of the democratic establishment.
Here are a few I heard last week.
1) The Post Office must be fixed, NOW, because without Universal Mial In Voting, Trump will steal the election
2) Everyone hates Trump so Biden will win in a landslide
3) Donald Trump will not leave office, regardless of the results of the election.
4) Russia will try to meddle in the election and help President Trump
5) Most recently, states are announcing they will not have their official election results, election night, and could take up to a week to certify their results.
As part of the psychological warfare President Trump uses on the fake news networks, POTUS is tweeting, and telling the press during his daily press briefings, that he is not ruling out challenging the results, if close, due to expected voter fraud.
With the way things are going, Trump would be a fool to promise to leave office, 2 months out, without having witnessed the events of the actual election. In fairness, so would Biden. How could either candidate give up their right to call foul if shenanigans were pulled … 2 months from now?
In keeping with their perpetual hypocrisy, the left who has chastised Trump for not prematurely agreeing to leave office, doesn’t mind that Joe Biden hasn’t promised to leave either.
Joe was even encouraged by the 2016 Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton to “never concede” the election and Bernie Sanders jumped into the fray warning President Trump will not leave and they must prepare their plans on how to remove him if he doesn’t.
Hillary Clinton has some advice for Joe Biden: If it is a close race on election night, do “not concede under any circumstances.”
In a clip from an interview with her former campaign staffer Jennifer Palmieri on Showtime’s docu-series “The Circus,” the failed 2016 presidential candidate was asked what she thought President Trump and the Republican Party would do if Biden triumphed in November.
Clinton outlined exactly the strategy that she suspects Republicans will use in a close election. It sounds a helluva lot like the Democrats’ strategy.
Clinton speculated the GOP would try “messing up absentee balloting” and would launch lengthy legal battles with an army of lawyers to contest the result. The Trump campaign has already begun suing states like New Jersey over their mail-in ballot plans.
“We’ve got to have a massive legal operation, and I know the Biden campaign is working on that,” Clinton says — predicting a bitter and messy election and urging fellow Democrats to not give “an inch.”
When Republicans do it, it’s because they are unethical. When Democrats do it, they are simply fighting for the people, and ‘democracy.’
It sounds like Hillary is urging Biden not to accept defeat, not matter what.
This is what Bernie Sanders is predicting Trump will do — except when Trump does it, it’s dirty politics.
“This is not just idle speculation,” said Sanders, pointing to comments the president made at the GOP convention. “Trump was saying that the only way he could lose the election is if there was — let me get the exact quote — ‘the only way they can take this election away from us is if this is a rigged election.’ Now he is making that statement at a time when virtually every national poll has him behind.”
The Vermont senator said Trump also signaled the possibility of refusing to concede after defeat in a July interview with FOX News’ Chris Wallace, in which he was asked whether he would accept the election results. Trump said, “I have to see. Look, you — I have to see. No, I’m not going to just say yes. I’m not going to say no, and I didn’t last time, either.
I will be shocked if, during the debates, Joe Biden is asked if he will “accept” the election results. We know he can’t be asked any other time as they have him hidden in his basement or don’t allow any questions in his very limited public speaking events.
Joe Biden’s handlers will not concede anything until every mail-in ballot is counted — at least once. If he takes Hillary’s advice, he would not concede even if he lost every single electoral vote.
With Michigan and other states announcing it will take up to a week after November 3rd, what will transpire is anyone’s guess as of now.
Unless America turns out in HUGE numbers, re-electing President Trump by insurmountable margins, you can expect November 3rd -1oth to be a circus, which could lead to lawsuits taking us through Christmas.
Let’s just blow out the elections, voting Republican down-ticket, and start chipping away at the [email protected] movement in the USA.
