ICYMI 1/19- Democratic Representative from Michigan, Rashida Tlaib, has been all over news headlines this week, but not for anything positive.
It was reported by the Hill that the Democrat launched a vicious verbal attack on President Donald Trump during a MoveOn rally just mere hours after she was sworn in.
Tlaib stated, “When your son looks at you and says, ‘Momma, look you won. Bullies don’t win.’”
She went on, “And I said, ‘Baby, they don’t. Because we’re going to go in there and impeach the motherf—er.’”
President Trump was questioned about the Democratic Representative while he was speaking at Rose Garden press event. He simply answered, “I thought her comments were disgraceful. This is a person I don’t know, I assume she’s new.”

“I think she dishonored herself and she dishonored her family. Using language like that in front of her son and whoever else was there, I thought that was a great dishonor to her and to her family,” Trump continued.
“I thought it was highly disrespectful to the United States of America.”
Conservative Tribune reports, “Trump was not the only one who was critical of her attack. In fact, members of Congress on both sides of the aisle spoke out against it.”

The Hill stated that Missouri Democratic Representative Lacy Clay was not happy about it. “I have never said that in a public setting. The choice of words is inappropriate.”
Democratic Representative from Maryland, Elijah Cummings, had a similar sentiment. “You cannot accomplish very much of anything unless you have civility and show respect for your colleagues. And I think those kind of comments do not take us in the right direction.”
“…if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and or the Senate, that's when civility can start again.”
"We're going to go in there, and we're going to impeach the motherfucker.”

Despite all of the backlash on social media, Tlaib has not apologized for the comment. In fact, she backed up her attack on the President saying, “I will always speak truth to power. #unapologeticallyMe.”
The Daily Caller reports:
Trump said that he believes Tlaib “dishonored her family” through her actions.
Tlaib launched into a profanity-laced rant Thursday night about impeaching President Donald Trump. During a speech on Capitol Hill, Tlaib promised that she would “impeach the motherf****r,” referring to the president.
Trump was asked if he would comment on the threat of impeachment and the profanity. Trump said Democrats would never impeach someone that is “doing a great job.”
“You can’t impeach somebody that is doing a great job. That’s the way I view it. I’ve done more in the first two years than any president, any administration in our country,” Trump said. “Look at tax cuts, regulations, look what we’ve done for the vets, the rebuilding of the military and the numbers we’re talking about.”
