Opinion| Lawrence David| Representative Chris Stewart (R-UT) needed only 20 seconds to dismiss former Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch as a witness against President Trump.
In that span of time Stewart was able to ask two questions that Yovanovitch gave a one word answer to:
“Do you have any information regarding the president of the United States accepting any bribes?”
“Do you have any information regarding any criminal activity that the president of the United States has been involved with, at all?”
Yovanovitch answered no to both.
The Dems' star witness was just asked on record if she had any information regarding @realDonaldTrump accepting any bribes or being involved in any criminal activity.
Her answer was clear: "No."

Steve Scalise (R-LA) is the House Republican Whip.
Despite Yovanovitch’s responses, Democrats spent the rest of her 7 hours before the “Schiff show,” that is dressed up as an impeachment hearing, trying to criminalize their policy disagreements with President Trump.
As a candidate, Donald Trump was clear about the way he intended to conduct the nation’s foreign policy during his campaign. We voted for him because of those promises.
“This is a struggle for the survival of our nation and this will be our last chance to save it. This election will determine whether we’re a free nation or whether we have only the illusion of democracy.”
Now these forces are trying to strip us of our votes and instead hand the power to conduct our nation’s foreign policy to unelected bureaucrats who represent those elites who gave them power, and not us.
We were warned there were forces with power beyond the president’s:
U.S. Attorney General William Barr is aware of these forces.
AG Bill Barr: "Immediately after President Trump won election, opponents inaugurated what they call 'The Resistance' and they rallied around an explicit strategy of using every tool and maneuver to sabotage the functioning of the executive branch." pic.twitter.com/HJJMczuEpd

Immediately after President Trump won election, opponents inaugurated what they called “The Resistance,” and they rallied around an explicit strategy of using every tool and maneuver to sabotage the functioning of the executive branch and this Administration.
The fact of the matter is that, in waging a scorched earth, no-holds-barred war of “Resistance” against this Administration, it is the Left that is engaged in the systematic shredding of norms and the undermining of the rule of law.
The attorney general spoke of the importance of a strong presidency. Barr believes that the attacks on President Trump have severely encroached on the president’s important role in the proper balance of government.
His decision to address the forces of the resistance head-on, as he did last week in a speech to The Federalist Society, sends a message that he is planning on defending the presidency and this president, in particular.
Keep in mind that Barr delivered that speech after watching Democrats spend 7 hours trying to erase the significant takeaway of those 20 seconds.
