Opinion| Lawrence David| No matter how Democrats twist the meaning of quid pro quo we should still be able to recognize bullshit when it’s slung in our face.
The “all-in” propagation of that twisted reasoning should be the final nail in the Marxist media’s credibility. It’s as clear as the nose on your face that they have no interest in protecting our constitutional republic.
Exactly what does quid pro quo actually mean? Something for something. That is the essence of virtually every human interaction and it is the primary, if not the sole motivator whenever money exchanges hands.
Democrats, who banked on a Hillary Clinton presidency in 2016, instead find themselves facing exposure of their criminal enterprise to the investigations of Inspector General Michael Horowitz, U.S. Attorney John Durham, U.S. Attorney General William Barr, as well as the hundreds of honest career attorneys and investigators who are working with them.
As evidence of Obama-era illegalities committed by numerous high-ranking appointees across a broad spectrum of our once respected institutions, Democrats seem to be grasping at straws to find a way to discredit the lawmen now hunting them.
The fear they are experiencing is something they should have considered before they defrauded Americans out of at least $10 Trillion dollars during what now appears to have been an Obama sanctioned crime spree.
So we find them desperately grasping at straws to find some way to derail the man who we sent to clean up the mess they created.
That desperation is manifested in the “Schiff show” now playing out under the control of Chairman Adam “Lavrentiy Beria” Schiff.
The charge Schiff has brought against President Trump is actually a charge against every past and future POTUS. The president asked for some consideration in exchange for foreign aid.
The Pelosi/Schiff led Dems accuse President Trump of having the temerity to ask for something in exchange for your tax dollars. Actually, in exchange for an IOU that you agreed to burden your children and grandchildren with.
Imagine that. President Trump wanted something in exchange for congress’ generosity with your money. You should demand at least that from your president.
Think about that for a minute. Do Democrats really expect us to applaud Obama for sending $150 Billion to Iran – and another $1.6 Billion in cash – so they could do what they pleased with it?
As we watch Iran edge closer to nuclearization of their military capability and continue their funding of terrorists across the globe, transferring that money without a quid pro quo was the height of irresponsible governance, if not treasonous.
Yet, this lack of control over your tax dollars is precisely what deals like the TTP, TPP, and the Paris Climate Accord were structured to accomplish – put the distribution of your tax dollars into the hands of foreign decision makers.
Realizing that they were losing this argument, Democrats conducted a focus group test and settled on charging President Trump with bribery, instead. They once again turned the Framers’ intent on its head.
It's ALL a political scam!
"House Democrats did a focus group, literally a focus group like in a political campaign, and they presented a bunch of phrases to average Americans…what sounds worse…focus group said bribery so that's what the Democrats are calling it." pic.twitter.com/2i3RoqYLFn

They are relying, and apparently the sycophants still left supporting this effort find greater comfort in charging the president with violating Article II. Section. 4 of the Constitution:
The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.
But, here the Framers were protecting against a rogue president who accepted bribes to influence his decision-making. Like accepting $145 million for the transfer Uranium to a hostile foreign power.
There was no income tax when the Framers wrote the Constitution. Nor, did they anticipate one. This begs the question, exactly where would a president of the newly formed republic get the money to bribe a foreign government with? And for what purpose.
It’s been established that there was no quid pro quo in President Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky but if there were a request to help ferret out corruption in our government, or theirs, he should be applauded for that.
After all, the money he’s protecting is yours.
