UPDATE: FACEBOOK HAS RE-PUBLISHED OUR PAGE!
Opinion – Mark Sidney – If I told you that I never thought this day would come, I would be lying. As of now, I am still operating under the assumption that the unpublishing of my Facebook Page, ‘Donald Trump Is Our President,’ was merely a mistake, misunderstanding, or the result of an automated error.
I started this page back on August 13, 2016. This was during the 2016 campaign and the Page was originally called “President Donald Trump.” Shortly after ‘President Donald Trump’ went from being an idea to being a reality (November 18, 2016,) Facebook unpublished the Page and instructed me the name would have to be changed. This was reasonable, and I was happy to change the name, with Facebook’s consent and approval, to “Donald Trump Is Our President.” Below is the “Page Transparency” information for the currently unpublished Page:
You can see that FB approved the name change back on Nov 18, 2016. When I spoke with Facebook’s people regarding this issue they were very helpful, cordial and seemed to be genuinely interested in helping me, which they did promptly.
I had changed the name briefly to “I’m Proud That Donald Trump Is Our President” on December 11, 2017, but decided it was likely safer to keep the original name which FB had already approved. For this reason, among others, I changed the name back to “Donald Trump Is Our President” as soon as the system allowed me, which was Dec 18, 2017. It should be noted that all these changes were reviewed and approved by Facebook.
Fast forward to October 11, 2018, the date of the infamous ‘Purge.’ My partner in Spreely (which is a social network, similar in functionality to FB, but where the 1st Amendment is the community standard), Terry Littlepage, and 810 or so other Profiles and Pages were purged from FB, without warning. Terry alone lost 11,000,000 fans. Fans which he had purchased from Facebook using their ad product ‘Page Like Ads.’ Despite spending tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of dollars to build his assets (Pages), Terry was given no warning of what he was doing wrong, nor did he get a chance to even try to come into compliance (Terry still maintains that he did not engage in the ‘inauthentic behavior’ which FB accused him of as the reason for his depersoning.) Everyone who I know that was taken down in ‘The Purge” has told me they had no warning or chance to fix their compliance issues.
While Facebook refused to release a list of Pages and Profiles purged, Western Journal compiled a list of the assets and activists/businesses that were removed, again, without warning or the opportunity to come into compliance. From what they were able to piece together, it sure looked like most of the pro-Trump, conservative, and anti-establishment Pages.
The Western Journal piece reads:
‘As reported by The Western Journal, in what many are calling the “Facebook purge,” Facebook announced on Thursday that it removed over 559 political pages and 251 accounts in a clamp down on what the social media company calls “inauthentic behavior” in the lead-up to the midterm elections next month.
Facebook did not release the full list of pages impacted by this action. Upon being asked, Facebook refused to disclose the full list.
The following is a list of 219 pages that are currently unpublished on Facebook. Some of these have been confirmed by the owners as having been unpublished by Facebook as part of Thursday’s mass purge of pages, while others are currently unconfirmed as being part of the purge. However, all of these pages were still indexed by Google on October 12, 2018, which suggests they were recently active and thus removed recently.’
Luckily, I have been meticulous about following every single rule Facebook makes, and I am vigilant about staying in compliance. Because of my concern that any violation at all could be used to delete my life’s work, I wrote an essay, which I published on the Page. The essay explained that I am in no way affiliated with the Trump Administration, nor do I represent them. You can read the whole thing HERE, below is a screenshot excerpt:
In addition to the description, I have, from the beginning, included the words “Unofficial Fan Page”on the page’s cover photo. The ‘About’ section also reads: “Unofficial Page Honoring The 45th President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump. Publishing Our OPINIONS On Current Events.”
In every place Facebook gave me the opportunity to explain the Page is not official, or affiliated with the White House or the President, I did so. I never comment on the page, or reply to users as if I am the President. Yes, some people have commented on the page and address their comments to the President, but that is something that is out of my control. I have corrected people in the past, but with tens of thousands of comments a day, I can not do this for everyone. Nor do I think that just because someone addresses their comment to the President on our Page, that they necessarily believe the President is on FB all day posting articles (which my family and I have written for our website).
Long story short, I did not do what the warning suggests. The proof is above. Even the disclaimer on this site, IllicitInfo.com is explicit about who we are.
Our company, Power To The Publisher, has spent about $265,000 paying Facebook for ‘Page Like Ads.’ to build up my distribution network for my opinion publishing business. Ever since Trump won the election I have lost about 90% of my reach. In other words, what I thought I was paying for, the ability to compete for reach in the News Feed of my Page’s followers, has been clawed back. Nearly all of it. Now with the Page unpublished, I guess at the moment, ALL of the reach on this Page has been clawed back. We were told the News Feed was a meritocracy and that each user would see the posts that mattered to them most. Facebook told us that they would not limit reach based on the viewpoint nor the identity of the speaker. I feel defrauded, and I wrote an article exposing this story, which I posted to Facebook last week. You can read the article “FB Has Likely Defrauded Millions Of Customers Out Of Billions Of Dollars In My View, Here’s How” HERE.
I also published this article exposing how, I believe, Facebook is using “Clickbait’ and its vague and subjective definition to silence publishers they do not like, and selectively enforcing these rules. “Here’s How Facebook Is Bankrupting Trump Supporting Small Publishers + Their Competition & Enrich Themselves Via ‘Clickbait’ As A Pretext, In My View” can be read HERE. I also published this to FB in the last week.
The first Facebook centric article that I posted was entitled: “I May No Longer Be Able To Support President Trump & You’re Next … Here’s Why: Digital Genocide” which can be read HERE. This article is not about me abandoning the President, it is about Facebook destroying my ability to get my opinion articles to my audience by 90% or s0. It’s not just me, every small publisher I speak to, who has not yet been deplatformed, claims that this seems to be happening to them too.
Perhaps it is a coincidence that my page was unpublished after I wrote and published 3 articles on FB airing my grievances with their business practices and what I believe to be a 7-9 figure (1-100 BILLION dollar) consumer fraud case. I sure hope the founding of Spreely.com had nothing to do with the decision to delete my Page.

I just recently interfaced with Facebook’s ad team who were interested in getting me to ramp up my spending on ‘Page Like Ads.’ I told them about my issues and explained (many, many, many times) that I was 100% willing to comply with any rules FB had, and that all I wanted was to know how to play by the rules. I just want to know what I must do to get the reach I paid for back.
I estimate that we spent about $100,000 on Facebook ads to build ‘Donald Trump Is Our President.” Money that, as of this moment, appears to be gone. My voice gone. The largest (to the best of my knowledge) Donald Trump Facebook Fan Page, 3.276 MILLION fans, GONE.
If they can do this to me, without being stopped, Facebook will only get bolder and do it to everyone else. However, I’m hoping this was just a mistake or error, one which I hope to have cleared up soon. In the past, FB deleted our “Donald Trump Is Our President” IG account without notice, then restored it and apologized, saying it was an error. I hope this is the same situation and I am giving Facebook the benefit of the doubt right now.
Thanks for reading and for your support, you can still see our posts and I will be posting updates in the Group I have called “Donald Trump Is Our President – The Group.” I hope those of you who are not yet members will join as it may be the only way to see our content going forward. To those of you who are already members, thank you!
Stay tuned for updates and thank you for your continued support!
NOTE: I want to thank Jim Hoft of The Gateway Pundit for being kind enough to publish an article on his powerful site exposing this issue. I also want to thank David Harris Jr, Ryan Fournier, and Carpe Donktum for this invaluable help in the effort to get this mistake corrected and the information to the people who are in a position to do something about, not what is happening to me, but what is happening to ALL OF US.
