Opinion – Elder Patriot – During a sparring match with Republican Congressman Chris Stewart on Fox News Sunday, it became obvious to informed viewers that host Chris Wallace was building a deceptive narrative from which he could advance the false impeachment claims.
Forward to the 7:00 minute mark when Wallace offers this text message exchange as evidence of a quid pro quo.
On its face, the worst it suggests further evidence is needed to understand what Ambassador Sondland told him on the ensuing phone call… if there was a follow-up phone call.
But, it’s what Wallace chose not to show his audience that casts shade on him and not President Trump.
While this is not proof that the president hadn’t asked for a conditional guarantee, it does give investigators the input of a person (Sondland) who actually heard that from the president.
Taylor had not been a participant in the briefing when the president made that clear.
Coupled with this report from Time, ‘Nobody Pushed Me.’ Ukrainian President Denies Trump Pressured Him to Investigate Biden’s Son, it’s hard to see how anyone, even Chris Wallace, can rely on the no there, there text message shown above.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky sat beside President Donald Trump on Wednesday as he denied that Trump pressured him to investigate former Vice President and current 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden’s son for his work in the country.
Wallace’s willingness to avoid all evidence that might conflict with his prior prejudice, while simultaneously constructing a narrative around two innocuous words – “call me,” is off the charts.
The same intelligence community that actually created a false predicate in order to conduct a politically motivated investigation of Donald Trump when he was a candidate, is now apoplectic that investigating Joe Biden’s years old corruption is somehow off limits because he’s declared as a candidate himself.
It’s not as though President Trump ever did this:
Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden: “I said, ‘We’re not gonna give you the billion dollars.’ The said, ‘you have no authority, you’re not the president.’ I said, ‘call him.’
I said, “I’m telling you you’re not getting a billion dollars. I’m going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’
“Well, son of a bitch, he got fired.”
Seriously, only a seasoned Deep State narrative parrot can even attempt to get away with this level of duplicity.
