OP ED – The latest Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking Poll finds 52% of likely U.S. voters approve of President Trump’s job performance.
This blows away former President Obama’s approval rating at the same time in his presidency.
In fact, it puts Trump in the same company as Ronald Reagan who went on to win 49 states and 525 electoral votes with 58.8% of the popular vote.
Even Minnesota was within reach if Reagan hadn’t decided to be respectful of his opponent – a Minnesota native – and campaigned there.
Unlike Reagan, Trump will campaign in, and likely win, Minnesota. CNN admitted as much earlier this week:
Minnesotans are giving President Trump high marks for restoring America’s steel industry that has revitalized the economy of rural areas of the state.
Like so many other mining dependent communities across America that were left to rot under Democrat policies. The rust belt didn’t decay because of some natural evolution, IMHO, it was the deliberate result of economic policies that accompanied massive gains in net worth for members of the UniParty.
Then there’s U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, who despite having her supporters, offends a lot of people… a whole lot of people.
President Trump is unlikely to win 535 electoral votes, or even 435 electoral votes.
Thanks to unregulated immigration, sanctuary policies, well-established methods of voter and election fraud, schools that indoctrinate rather than educate, and a massive increase in government dependents, it;s likely that no candidate may ever again approach that margin of victory.
But, make no mistake, as the country has become ever more divided along ideological lines, the majority is choosing free market capitalism and President Trump.
