Unreal: Harley Davidson Refuses Late Payment Of Military Wife, Sends This Letter Explaining Why & It Restored My Faith In Corporate Americas

One Last Night Cap From An Older Story Of Kirsters Baish’ Opinion and Analysis | Dennis Packee, the owner of a Harley Davidson dealership, has been making headlines on the internet after the letter he wrote to a soldier’s wife made its way online.

According to Inspiremore.com, “the soldier, named Christopher Walters, left his motorcycle in some rented space at Reiman’s Harley-Davidson before being deployed overseas.

Christopher’s wife, Jaime, was supposed to stay on top of payments for the storage space while he was gone, but she recently fell behind. Jaime sent in a check with her husband’s payment along with an apology note explaining why she was turning in the payment late.

When Dennis saw Jaime’s note, he refused to accept her money.”

“You send that money back to her!” Packee ordered his employee. “I never, ever!”

Packee was nearly drafted during the Vietnam War, but was discharged for medical issues. He has been hyper aware of the sacrifices that our men and women in uniform make for our country.
He is always looking to give back to these heroic Americans.

During the 18 years that Packee has owned the dealership, he has upheld this one tradition.

Take a look at the letter Packee wrote to Jaime:

Before he knew it, Dennis was being contacted by people from all over the US. He first thought that the calls were coming from family members of Walters, but it didn’t take long to realize that the story had gone viral.

Packee stated, “It was impossible to answer them all. I got to thinking, this is America and people DO care. They care about their soldiers and they’re expressing that.”

“America is still America. I was a little worried about how our country was going, and to see people step forward in this way, it’s just enlightened me,” he continued.

“A small effort like this, and look where it’s gone. Maybe more will do the same thing.”
