Busted! Coca-Cola’s Huge, Racist Secrets Will Bring The Company To It’s Knees …

Despite recently providing instructional material to its employees that taught them to “be less white,” the Coca-Cola company is seemingly running away from its own history and creator: slave owning Confederate Army colonel and morphine addicted John Pemberton.

Over a century before the company would become derided for purchasing an anti-white curriculum for its employees, Coca-Cola was invented by Pemberton, who – having sustained a devastating sabre wound while fighting for the Confederacy during the Civil War – was addicted to morphine, and hoped the carbonated beverage would cure his addiction.

Prior to the Civil War, Pemberton married Anna Eliza Clifford Lewis, the daughter of a prominent Georgia planation owner. In 1854, Pemberton and his wife gave birth two a child, prompting her father to sell the young couple two slaves to assist with the raising of the child. Pemberton was also noted as owning a 20-year-old female slave in the 1860 Slave Schedule, suggesting he may have owned more than the two sold to him by his father-in-law.

Pemberton, and aspiring pharmacist and drug inventor, believed Coca-Cola could help him overcome his addiction to morphine, something he became dependent on after sustaining a saber injury during the Battle of Columbus, Georgia, during the Civil War.

According to the 2004 book, The Pursuit of Oblivion, Pemberton “was shot, slashed with a sabre, and scarred for life by the Yankees.” He later went bankrupt, and suffering from arthritis and “recurrent stomach pains,” Pemberton “became reliant on morphine” and came to “believe the claims of American medicine-makers that their coca products could be used to wean people from morphine addiction.”

By 1884, Pemberton began selling concotions of wine, coca leaves, and kola nuts. When prohibition came to Atlanta soon after, he instead sold a carbonated beverage made with coca leaves and kola nuts, calling his creation Coca-Cola.

Pemberton, however, struggled to market his creation and ultimately saw little profits during his lifetime. Following his death, the company ultimately became successful, eventually morphing into the corporate giant that provides materials to its employees which instructed them to “be less white.”

Ironically, LinkedIn sold the be less white curriculum to Coca-Cola and other major companies without knowledge of the person whose lectures were stolen to create the materials. LinkedIn ultimately made them unavailable after the media raised attention to the course, and National File tracked the materials’ creation to a Koch-funded company called Big Think, which specializes in tearing down Christianity and traditional American values in favor of the style of free market libertarianism favored by the Koch empire.

So there were slaves a long time ago. So what. It has nothing to do with living today. Blacks hating the police today is like cutting your hand off because you have mail that keeps giving you trouble. Whites hating blacks for what they see in the news is the same thing. I never saw a black till I went into the military and have had some as friends, as I have had some whites as friends also. If Coke A Cola company only hired blacks and fired any whites working there, I would still drink Coke. I eat what I like, drink what I like and do what I like. What people think never enters into my thinking.

Don’t like Coca Cola...never have. If I liked it...I would stop purchasing it. Just leave your politics, your stupidity at the door when arrive at work! All of those who mix (spout off) their political views with their business are ignorant.  We want to purchase your products, not hear your one sided comments!  Can you really afford to keep up the nonsense?

All this stuff about race is starting to get ridiculous because too many people are believing what somebody tells them without investigation. I will bet most of those people are on the left because I haven't run into one yet who knows why blacks were to be counted as three-fifths of a person in the first census. Mr. Pemberton below may know but I will many of you don't. I'm not telling until somebody investigates and then asks me. Hint; it's not necessarily what you think.

My last paycheck was $2500 for working 12 hours a week online. My sisters friend has been averaging 8k for months now and she works about 30 hours a week. I can't believe how easy it was once I tried it out. The potential with this is endless. This is what I do >>  NETPAY1.COM

Pemberton sold his formula to Asa Candler... It completely left Pemberton's hands before it became a success.  Not sure what kind of 'racist past' you can dig up on Candler, but seizing on Pemberton to make Coke racist is really quite a stretch (kind of like the democrats trying to make everything 'racist' in the first place). John Pemberton might be a part of Coke's past, but he was never part of it's success. If not for Candler's marketing, John Pemberton would be all but forgotten.

So what. Myself, I don't care where Coke came from. I like it and I will drink it. If a cure for cancer was made by a racist asshole who preached segregation, I would still take if I needed it.

Democrats and Republicans are two wings of the same bird. Those who claim to be 'woke' 'leftists' or 'liberals' are victims or pawns who believe them.Whatever happened to those who esposused honesty, integrity, and a moral compass? It seems there are those who are 'woke' and prefer the seemy side.

Slavery was economics, not racism. Labor intensive agrarian economies used forced labor of people captured in military conquests in consideration for not slaying survivors. North American Indians enslaved members of other tribes, Asians enslaved other Asians, the powerful and wealthy everywhere traded in human bondage. Anyone classified as a peasant in feudal society was little more than a slave. The unwritten contract between owner and slave included provisions for terminating employment, and it was literally termination. The Bible contains accounts of institutionalized slavery. Deeply indebted people could obtain funds by selling themselves into slavery, either indentured or permanently. Treatment of indentures and slaves was outlined in the law and mistreatment or injury of such persons could abrogate the arrangement and free the slave. The Jubilee Year, every seventh year, was designated as a time when servants and slaves could be manumitted, debts forgiven, and society reset. To maintain that slavery in the British North American colonies and the fledgling Republic was any more heinous than that practiced elsewhere is a fraud. It has been estimated that ten percent of slaves in North America were owned by Free Black entrepreneurs. The first documented lawsuit to force the return of an escaped slave was initiated by a black man recovering a black slave.Colonel John Pemberton, CSA, should not be confused with General John C. Pemberton, CSA, who commanded at Vicksburg. The latter was a Pennsylvanian, an artillery officer, non-slave owner, wedded to a Southern Belle. The former was a wounded combat veteran suffering painful injuries. The state of medicine at the time relied on addictive narcotics to alleviate pain.It has been speculated that the pharmacist was attempting to develop a remedy for cough, fatigue, or as an alternative to his addiction. "The pause that refreshes" seemed to live up to its claim. Pemberton developed the formula for the carbonated beverage after the war of emancipation and sold the formula outright with no interest in the company that mass produced the product. There ends the Pemberton connection to slavery and Coca-Cola. No slave labor was used in the development or production of Coca-Cola.The Coca-Cola Company has since become an apologist for whiteness. It has crossed the line from business to politics and political correctness. When it did so, I immediately stopped patronizing their business. I am not related to either of the two men who share the surname Pemberton. Abuses happened. Slave owners often had the power of life and death over a slave. A captive taken in war was allowed to live in exchange for service. People were a commodity. Demonize it all you will, but civili0zation eventually outgrew and abolished slavery.
